The clinical team includes a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, a board-certified emergency medicine physician who serves as Clinical Lead for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and a doctor of podiatric medicine with training from UCSF, Harvard, Georgetown, and UCLA. HBOT sessions are delivered in a clear acrylic monoplace chamber at 2-3 ATA, with sessions typically running 60-90 minutes. The clinic also has a Poway location for patients in North San Diego County. FDA-approved conditions treated include diabetic foot ulcers, chronic refractory osteomyelitis, late-effects of radiation on bone and soft tissue, central retinal artery occlusion, necrotizing soft tissue infections, failing skin grafts or flaps, sudden sensorineural hearing loss, and thermal burns. The practice also treats off-label conditions including long COVID, post-stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, and sports injuries, though these may not be covered by insurance.
