About Comprehensive Wound Healing Center
The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center, a department of East Georgia Regional Medical Center, specializes in the care of chronic wounds that have not healed within four weeks, as well as acute wounds resulting from trauma or surgery. The center's mission is to advance wound healing by creating, sharing, and activating their wound care experience to benefit every patient. They offer coordinated treatment options, including diagnostic imaging and surgery, in collaboration with East Georgia Regional Medical Center staff and primary care providers. The center also utilizes hyperbaric chambers to deliver 100% oxygen at a pressure equivalent to being 30 feet underwater, facilitating the healing of internal tissues and chronic wounds.
