The Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic at Travis Air Force Base, located within the David Grant USAF Medical Center, specializes in hyperbaric medicine and chronic wound care. It serves patients from David Grant Medical Center, the Veteran's Affairs Northern California Health Care System, and other regional organizations. The clinic is known for having one of the largest clinical hyperbaric chambers in North America. Typical hyperbaric oxygen treatments at DGMC involve pressurization to two atmospheres absolute (2.0 ATA), equivalent to 33 feet of sea water, for 90 minutes. Treatment frequency is generally five days per week and may involve twice-daily sessions when indicated. The clinic utilizes state-of-the-art technology to aid patients with various diagnosed illnesses. The Hyperbaric Medicine Flight also contributes to research in the aerospace medical field. The facility is constantly staffed, maintained, and fully operational.
