About HCA Florida Mercy Hospital, Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center
The Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center at HCA Florida Mercy Hospital uses evidence-based practices and technologies to help patients heal as quickly as possible. Their physicians collaborate to treat a variety of conditions with HBOT, from chronic wounds to carbon monoxide poisoning, tailoring treatment to meet individual needs. The center is equipped to handle diving-related injuries and is designated as the Divers Alert Network's (DAN) regional coordinators for Florida and the Caribbean. They have two multi-place hyperbaric chambers capable of treating up to three patients at a time, simulating pressures up to 66 feet. A trained technician is inside the chamber with the patient, and an HBOT physician is on-site, with medical personnel constantly monitoring communications.
