Prisma Health's Hyperbaric Medicine Services offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) in a comfortable, climate-controlled chamber to increase the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream, promoting wound healing, fighting infection, and preserving damaged tissues. HBOT can benefit patients with slow-healing wounds, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, skin grafts, radiation therapy wounds, leg wounds related to circulation issues, bone infections, trauma wounds, and pressure wounds. Prisma Health also offers a nationally accredited hyperbaric training program at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Their multidisciplinary team collaborates to provide comprehensive wound management, with a special emphasis on limb preservation.
